Odie’s Waiting for a Safe Landing |
Down at Woodward Animal Control, behind a simple chain-link gate, a dog named Odie is waiting. He’s about a year and a half old—still full of puppy hope, still wagging his tail when someone walks by. He doesn’t know why he’s there. He just knows he wants to go home.
The folks at WOOF Pet Rescue posted his photo this week. They called him “friendly,” “well-mannered,” and “good with dogs and bigger kids.” He sits on command and loves splashing in water puddles—just a good boy who’s had a rough stretch. Right now, Odie doesn’t need much. Just a safe place to land. A porch to nap on. A person to trust.
If you’ve ever thought about fostering—or if your heart’s been tugged seeing one of these posts—this might be your moment. The WOOF team can help with everything you need. Sometimes, love shows up in fur and muddy paws.
Odie’s story is simple, but so is his hope: that someone will open their heart and say, “You’re home now.”
Every rescue is a second chance—for them, and for us. |
