Today we want to shine a big spotlight on ACG Hospice — a phenomenal group serving right here in Northwest Oklahoma. 💙

Their team of nurses, social workers, chaplains, and home health aides go above and beyond every single day, providing compassionate care to patients and families when it matters most. Many of them have been in this field for years, bringing not just skill, but heart, experience, and a true calling to the work they do.

It takes a special kind of strength and love to walk alongside families during life’s hardest moments, and ACG Hospice does it with grace, dignity, and kindness. 🙏

  📍 Woodward County Event Center, 108 Temple Houston Dr, Woodward, OK
  Hunting, fishing, gear demos, and outdoor fun all weekend long. This family-friendly expo brings together enthusiasts, vendors, and hands-on activities for all ages.

Roy Daugherty, better known as “Arkansas Tom Jones,” was no ordinary preacher’s kid.

Raised in Missouri alongside two religious brothers, he ditched family sermons at 14 and headed west, soon reinventing himself as an outlaw in Indian Territory.

Roy joined the infamous Wild Bunch, led by Bill Doolin, and cemented his reputation during the chaotic Battle of Ingalls in 1892, killing a U.S. Marshal and outlasting the gang’s other members.

Sentenced to 50 years, Roy’s preacher brothers secured his release after 18.

Rejecting redemption, he tried and failed at Hollywood before returning to a life of bank robbery and repeat arrests.

His legend ended in 1924 after a final deadly shootout with lawmen—proof that some people never outrun their past, even when offered a way out.

🍲 One-Pan Creamy Garlic Chicken & Veggies

A cozy, one-pan dinner that’s creamy, garlicky, and packed with protein and veggies — and it’s ready in about 35 minutes!

📝 Ingredients:

For the Chicken:

• 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (or 6–8 thighs)

• 2 tablespoons olive oil

• Salt and pepper to taste

• 1 teaspoon paprika

• 1 teaspoon garlic powder

For the Sauce:

• 4 cloves garlic, minced

• 1 tablespoon butter

• 1 cup chicken broth

• 1 cup heavy cream (or half & half for lighter version)

• ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

• 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning (or mix of thyme, basil, oregano)

Veggies:

• 2 cups broccoli florets

• 2 medium carrots, sliced thin

• 1 red bell pepper, sliced

• 1 zucchini, sliced

• Optional: handful of spinach

🍳 Equipment:

• Large skillet or sauté pan with lid

• Cutting board + knife

• Measuring cups/spoons

👩‍🍳 Instructions:

1. Season the Chicken
   Pat chicken dry, season both sides with salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder.

2. Sear the Chicken (8 mins)
   Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
   Add chicken and sear 4 minutes per side until golden brown (not fully cooked yet). Remove and set aside.

3. Sauté the Garlic (1 min)
   Lower the heat to medium. In the same skillet, add butter and minced garlic. Cook for 30–60 seconds until fragrant.

4. Make the Cream Sauce (3 mins)
   Pour in chicken broth and stir up any browned bits. Add cream, Parmesan, and Italian seasoning. Stir and bring to a gentle simmer.

5. Add Veggies (4 mins)
   Toss in broccoli, carrots, zucchini, and bell pepper. Cook for 3–4 minutes until they begin to soften.

6. Simmer Chicken (12 mins)
   Return the chicken to the skillet. Cover and cook on low for 10–12 minutes, until chicken is cooked through (165°F/74°C internal temp).

7. Final Touch (1–2 mins)
   Stir in spinach at the end (optional), let it wilt. Taste and adjust salt and pepper.

🍽️ Serving Suggestions:

• Serve over mashed potatoes, rice, or buttered pasta.

• Garnish with fresh parsley or extra Parmesan on top.
