Temple Grandin Returns to Woodward for Autism Keynote and Cattle Conference

Renowned expert to address community on autism and livestock management

Temple Grandin, the esteemed livestock expert and autism advocate, is set to return to northwest Oklahoma this August for a special two-part engagement.

She will first deliver a keynote on autism at the High Plains Technology Center, followed by an address to producers at the 580 Cattle Conference later that day.

The events are scheduled for Saturday, August 2, 2025, with the cattle conference beginning at noon.

Event organizer Kristin Stinnett, who, along with her brother Troy White, conceptualized the inaugural 580 Cattle Conference last year, shared that the idea for this dual event originated from a simple follow-up call.

“We were thrilled with the response to last year’s conference and wanted to build on that momentum,” Stinnett said.

“Bringing Dr. Grandin back to Woodward allows us to address both autism awareness and advancements in livestock management, topics that deeply resonate with our community.”

The autism keynote will take place at the High Plains Technology Center, a hub for education and workforce development in the region.

Following this, the 580 Cattle Conference will be held at the Woodward Event Center, located at 105 Temple Houston Drive.

For more details, interested parties can contact Kristin Stinnett at 580-273-5908, Troy White at 580-334-3303, or Tiffany Shultz at 580-334-1122.

Dr. Grandin’s return underscores Woodward’s commitment to fostering inclusive dialogue and advancing industry knowledge.

Her dual presentations are anticipated to draw attendees from across the region, eager to gain insights from her expertise in both autism advocacy and livestock management.

For those planning to attend, the city offers a variety of dining and shopping options along Main Street, providing a welcoming atmosphere for visitors.

From authentic Mexican cuisine to local boutiques, there’s something for everyone to enjoy during their stay in Woodward.

Don’t miss this opportunity to hear from one of the leading voices in autism advocacy and livestock management.

Mark your calendars for August 2, 2025, and join the Woodward community in welcoming Dr. Temple Grandin back to Oklahoma.
